I really thought they turned the corner. I remember pulling for the teams back in the mid 80s because I hated Elway and was hoping they could return to that team. But Cleveland continues to be Cleveland.

The optimist in me says yes he can elevate us into the playoffs. He’s a better QB and we have a better OL and a better RB room so whenCMC takes his annual sabbatical after week 4 we will still be ok there. The pessimist in me says he won’t because Baker can’t catch the ball or stop the run. Hope I’m wrong though.

It sounds like Even on Sam’s best day people are just not wowed. Comes across as mechanical. While I do think Baker is the better QB, I also think Baker possesses some degree of the “it” that guys such as Jake and Cam possessed. Note/disclaimer: I am not saying/arguing that baker is better than or equal to either of these guys as he has his flaws and a lower ceiling IMO. Simply saying they may all possess a similar trait that sets them apart from others.

They are distracting. Need to revert back to the occasional camp updates and constant rebuke of Darnold, Rhule and Tepper. We need to focus, please…

I am cautiously optimistic here on this but agree, there is no need to be so cynical. It’s early but dude seems to be motivated and in a good place. Hopefully the trajectory is upwards.

I hope Terrace makes a jump just given his draft position and upside. Hard to argue the 7 mentioned by OP. If we carry six Shi may be the odd man out but it’s early yet and I am far from a professional evaluator. Just my .02

very good point if this is the case, I guess we will have to double our efforts and simply jump to conclusions and make wildly speculative statements with little to no facts to base them on. i know this strategy is a huge departure from the normal practice here but I think we are up to the job.

Yes. Definitely looks to have added bulk. I heard from an unnamed source that he gets to breakfast 15 minutes early so he gets 1st dibs on waffles and biscuits. Everybody else has to wait and they barely make it to practice on time… disclaimer: my sarcasm font is broken.

Early by itself is a positive but doesn’t carry a lot of weight. If it is accompanied by effort and results it definitely means something. If you are a guy in Coral’s position it certainly doesn’t hurt especially as he gains traction in the organization.
