I know Brown did not play. Not sure how much Burns and Ionidas played but don’t think it was significant.

For me he past the eye test. It looked like a grown-up was coaching the offense. Refreshing change.

I think he is decent and knowledgeable of the game. Like everything else preseason there are some things he can get better at. I think I heard him call basketball and some bowl games last year and he is pretty good. Doesn’t try to be cossel or madden. the best qualities he has are that he has a good voice and realizes the game is the main attraction and not him. I think a lot of broadcasters lack that trait. I think he will be good and get better.

Good for DJ and truly a class act. Makes me proud that he cares. While I admire and respect the hell out of him for doing so, I don’t like star players going into stands. If some 80 proof idiot had pushed him dude could have gotten hurt. not flaming him in the least but wouldn’t be surprised if he gets advice to refrain from doing that again.

Yes. Heavy dose of Rhule sucks, Tepper sucks, Darnold sucks, why isn’t Corral getting more snaps. Add in a pinch of Derrick Brown is a bust and can Luke come back to play linebacker. I suspect there will be the occasional play analysis too. But quite entertaining nonetheless.

Is it me or is the depth (practice and depth chart release) defaulting mostly to the most tenured Panther player. The “co-1st team” of Darnold/Mayfield and Eflien/Bozeman crap is just for show IMO. Ultimately I think Corral will get his share of snaps in the preseason and hopefully outperform Walker. Rhule is simply playing mind checkers at this point.

I really thought they turned the corner. I remember pulling for the teams back in the mid 80s because I hated Elway and was hoping they could return to that team. But Cleveland continues to be Cleveland.

The optimist in me says yes he can elevate us into the playoffs. He’s a better QB and we have a better OL and a better RB room so whenCMC takes his annual sabbatical after week 4 we will still be ok there. The pessimist in me says he won’t because Baker can’t catch the ball or stop the run. Hope I’m wrong though.

It sounds like Even on Sam’s best day people are just not wowed. Comes across as mechanical. While I do think Baker is the better QB, I also think Baker possesses some degree of the “it” that guys such as Jake and Cam possessed. Note/disclaimer: I am not saying/arguing that baker is better than or equal to either of these guys as he has his flaws and a lower ceiling IMO. Simply saying they may all possess a similar trait that sets them apart from others.

They are distracting. Need to revert back to the occasional camp updates and constant rebuke of Darnold, Rhule and Tepper. We need to focus, please…

I see potential with TMJ and RA bouncing back to being solid but as of now i agree. I don’t see it as a real strength based on recent performance.

I am cautiously optimistic here on this but agree, there is no need to be so cynical. It’s early but dude seems to be motivated and in a good place. Hopefully the trajectory is upwards.

If Coral is decent, learns and progresses, he will get his chance. I think he will get his chance. Maybe not this season and as fast as Wilson did but I think he has the talent.

I hope Terrace makes a jump just given his draft position and upside. Hard to argue the 7 mentioned by OP. If we carry six Shi may be the odd man out but it’s early yet and I am far from a professional evaluator. Just my .02
