    To achieve this he would have to be playing on Saturdays but NCAA eligibility rules prohibit that. Ain’t happening in a Sunday game.

    I’m happy for Darnold. Good redemption story. Yes, he probably still has the same warts and limitations, but so far they aren’t as obvious. Would love to see them make the playoffs. He’s not ever gonna be elite or even great, but maybe just good enough for them to sneak in.

    What’s even sadder is most everyone on this list would be an upgrade to our roster and be penciled in as the starter.

    We are at a point now where we have/need a stopgap at the QB position. I think unless there is some Delhomme lightening in a bottle situation, anyone you get is gonna have limitations. Can’t do anything stupid just because the name still resonates. From an all around QB perspective is Fields gonna be better than Dalton? I don’t know and don’t want to open the wallet too wide to find out.

    If they draft him they should let the PSL owners hear the nonsense conversations between Tepper/Morgan and Prime. Gotta be more entertaining than anything the organization given them over the past few years. Those folks have earned it.

    I wouldn’t break the bank on any of them. Jackson seems like he would be a good target as I don’t think you have to overpay and you get a player that seems to be a high energy team guy. That’s just my first reaction which may be wrong.

    Bring him on slow and pull reps from Sanders. Can see how he progresses without disrupting Chuba. The pick is a head scratcher but not Brooks’ fault. The kid has talent and is getting healthy. Play him and see what you got.
