  1. I wasn't correcting. Just agreeing with the lack of pro-legends. Maybe he'll wear a Lawrence Taylor jersey or a David Thompson. That would be sick.
  2. He only said sports legend. The only criteria I see is that they still gotta be alive to sign it.
  3. It gets me right in the feels when current players tap into the history of the city/state they represent. Salute, Mr Chinn.
  4. They threw batteries at Santa. Gonna need a better source.
  5. Huddlers that supported Sharty 2.blow should be tagged, separated from the heard, and euthanized.
  6. I'm not a big fan of either taking meaningful snaps this season. Grier getting the start is not so much a depth chart declaration but more of a, "here's your last shot kid" kind of start.
  7. He does have one ability. He can make defensive backups look awesome.
  8. If it works out that PJ is better than Sam Darnold, it wont be because PJ is some wunderkind. It will be because Darnold is truly damaged and a bust. Sam will have to butt-fumble his way out of Charlotte.
  9. Never seen anything like it since. It was better than any main stream entertainment out there. It was Alejandro and his foamposits and granite counter tops vs the Huddle. Ho-Lee FUG was it unmerciful.
  10. I didn’t realize Smitty was 9th all-time in all-purpose yards. Only behind Brown and Rice among pro bowl WRs. There’s his jacket right there.
  11. Most of us called Smitty, Pep and Luke. I think most of us thought Mills a long shot.
  12. Fat Alice was the beginning of the end.
  13. For a single season it’s a tough nut to crack. That group was special. Too bad we never got it for more than 1 season.
  14. Things to consider: -Smith was the only receiving threat the majority of his career -Smith never had a “franchise QB” -Smith was never in a pass 1st offense -Smith played when rules favored defense -Smith is the only player since Sterling Sharpe to win the triple crown -Smith is the only player in playoff history with a rush/receiving/return TD in a single post season -Smith is behind only these Legends: Rice, Larry Legend, Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Harrison, Carter, Brown, TO, Boldin, Wayne, and Andre Johnson. (Those other guys had some HOF QBs tossing pigskins their way or were pass heavy offenses) Smith achieved what he achieved with less help than any of his statistical peers. Andre Johnson might have the closest scenario, but Smitty is 5’9. There’s no other way to put it. It should not have been possible to do what that little man did. He did it, and he did it better than anyone else ever could in the same situation. Not pound for pound or any of that nonsense, Smitty holds his own without qualifiers or quantifiers. Agent 89 is a case study in will power, determination and dominance.
  15. So does that mean CB1 and QB1 need to bare knuckle box in the end zone like in '15 too?
  16. Many many GMs have come and gone thinking that very thing.
  17. In February looking back? Not at all. Songs would be written. but… the 6 days between Sunday #1 and Sunday #2 will be dark and fraught with danger. Even after a week 2 and 3 victory it’ll still be prickly around here.
  18. It was tough to hear the allegations, I too felt a certain gratitude for getting us a team. That doesn't excuse the Hurney experience, hiring only defensive minded coaches, nepotism and general ass-hattery behind the scenes.
