Mocking the Panthers 8.0

Are you just assuming Cam is not being genuine in saying he would support any decision made?

Of course he supports it that doesn't mean he agrees with it. My job wants to buy a new helicopter doesnt mean I don't think they should give all the employees raises. But it's your job to spit the company line.

Here is what my thoughts are. Really sick of the mock drafts right now. NFL blows for putting the draft 2 weeks back into May. They should have kept in late April where is belongs. But oh wait Goodell and the owners knows what's best for the fans don't they. Smh!! Overall I wish the draft will get here quickly. I'm sick and bord of all these mocks.

Am I the only one that wants Kouandijo at 28? I wouldn't mind him, his knee has been cleared and he's fine. I don't understand why his stock isn't rising. Reminds me of Star last year a bit.

Also, I would want Cooks, OBJ or Davante Adams in the first, only those three. I actually would love Jordan Matthews but I am not sure if that would be a huge reach at 28. To me he is worth it but I am not sure what the front office is thinking.

I'd absolutely take him if his knee checks out.

Gotta be honest though. Knee problems on a guy that big worry me.

It is all conjecture until we make our pick. All we can go on is based on what G-Man has said which has been very little. He has made comments that very seldom do WRs make impacts their 1st year but quite frankly I think he will make his decision when he sees who is there at 28.

If a tackle and WR are there and have equal grades which do you take and why? These are decisions that define a GM.

What else is he suppose to say but the company line? Not like he can say If we don't get a wr i'm walking. But i would be judging from everyone on the team to former teammates,It seems obvious that we need help on offense be it on the line or wr more than anything on defense.

You don't think Cam is smart enough to realize the value to a team of an immediate starter at CB over a reach-pick at WR or OT?

I've been on the Cyrus bandwagon ever since I started doing my research...I like him better than Moses for sure

I agree with you on OBJ as well. I like cooks too but would take Robinson, Lee over him.

If we took Adams in the first I'd be sick and while I like Marthews there is no way in hell he'd be the best value in round 1

As for Cyrus do we really want another jeff otah? His knee is fine now but who's to say how long he can hold up for. Wasted pick. As for Moses watch his tape against ball state and you'll second guess him. Hes definitely not first day material but has the length. But many all the sacks their qb took was a result of him being too mobile.

I really think the best player available will be taken which fits. Probably cb but there's always a surprise drop or two. Maybe that will allow us to trade back but unlikely with new England behind us.

lol at telling people to watch 1 or 2 games to determine whether or not a player is good. Every players has a bad game or less than stellar game in their career. You go on their entire body of work and upside.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
