We were at the OTA for ACL blowout #2. We could not tell he was injured because he really didn't limp, but we happened to see him go down during a LB drill. My son wanted to know if 58 was a good player-he was collecting autographs. I said, "Yes, that is one you want." He went to the sidewalk were TD was walking back to the stadium with the trainer. From a distance, I saw him shake his head from side to side and put his hand on my son's head for a second. When he returned, he told me that TD said, "I am sorry son. This is a bad time."

TD had to know that ACL #2 is what happened; again, he was not limping much at all. He could have ignored my son, snapped at him, etc. But he was nice to him. It was not until a day or two later that we learned his injury was career-threatening.

I think this speaks to his character a great deal. Most people would have blown right by. He was quite nice to speak to your son like that and even sound apologetic. Pretty strong coming from a guy who at the moment was dealing with what he may have thought could be a career ending injury.

One heck of a football player but seems to be a great person as well.
