Blaming the WR's isn't entirely fair, go back to his rookie year where he lead the 7th ranked offense and his receivers weren't a problem- his fundamentals were. As he has improved the targets have regressed.

Cam's accuracy was also likely hampered by his ankle.

Most people, myself included, wanted a big target to minimize the effect of Cam's overthrows and a target like Benjamin obviously does that. Now that his ankle will be fixed it's scary to think what Cam is capable.

IDC about Cams accuracy issues. That will get better with time, what I'm happy about is the huge jump ball target in general. I've been wishing for one for a while now. Any QB loves the huge jump ball guy. Just chuck that poo up in the red zone baby.

The irony is, I think Cam's way more accurate than he's usually given credit for.

I watch as many NFL games as I realistically can on the weekends (either through the redzone or Sunday ticket), and you'd be shocked how many alleged good NFL QB's sail and make bad passes on a regular basis, that are caught, so no one notices or cares.

On the contrary, Cam has had to throw into tight windows his entire career at Carolina, and couldn't afford to miss high many times. This same rule applies to under thrown balls, or when Cam's in trouble and needs his receivers to come back to the ball. Panther receivers, just weren't good at it.

Don't be surprised if Benjamin succeeds in his rookie year that Cam's completion percentage may increase 5 pts, along with his TD count, and hopefully the Panther win total?

Prob why DG gutted the WR corp. Can't wait till Brady chews Brandon out the first time. Then he will get to see what its like to be with a "elite" QB.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about Cam though. He is given a bad wrap because he has had mediocre receiving talent. Give him AJ Green an accuracy would have been overlooked.

Hell yeah! In the Bengals playoff game this past year, Dalton was overthrowing and sailing pass over half the time and his receivers still managed to catch a good amount of them. The Bengals really need to move on from him.

Yes I think in Gettlemans evaluation of talent he wanted receivers that would help Cam's cause and not hurt his cause.
