Better or Worse

Problem is the WR core will not be able to get any time with Cam until training camp and none of them have had any time. Chemistry/ timing could be an issue early on.

No idea on KB. He could start day 1 and he could be a backup all year.

Also Chandler might be our LT right?

As a rookie Cam didn't have much time with his WRs. That seemed to work out well. So that is one of those questions that will be answered on the fly.

I see KB getting to run the routes he is comfortable with at the beginning. As he learns and grows he will see more time. It is up to him on how much playing time he gets. The one good point is that Gman and Rivera put him through the paces and came away impressed. Football wise, the kid seems to get it.

As far as it looks right now. The team is looking at Bell at LT, and Chandler at RT. But, anything that happens can change that in a hurry.

the tackle spots are the most concerning. everything else should be fine.

I actually think DeCoud is going to have a major, major year with us. Harper won't get beat as much because of the front 7 but I have a feeling he's going to give up big plays unless we use him certain ways mostly and don't expose him.

again the tackle spots are scary concerning. really scary.

I can't agree with calling Jason Avant a downgrade from Ted Ginn.

They're different types of receivers.  Ginn is a pure deep threat while Avant is more of a Ricky Proehl type with hands that are worlds better than Ginn's were..

So...let me get this straight...Star, KK, Cam, and Keek all improve because of more experience, yet Melvin White stays the same in the same role in his secon year?  I swear, kid gets no respect.

I respect him as a player. Making the team and earning playing time as a UFA is a great accomplishment. But there are reasons he went undrafted. The odds of a long and succesful career are against him. I hope he improves, I would love him to be a star for us. But history has taught me to keep low expectations for undrafted guys.

I agree with most of the comments above. Overall the team as a whole has improved and IMO the WR Corp, Interior OLine and Secondary are all better units than last year. Especially the secondary.

Decoud, Harper, Godfrey, White and Cason together as a unit will work far better together. The problem I felt a lot last season was that Captain and Mitchell seemed to free lance too much. Every now and then they would make a big play but more often they were out of position. I could be wrong but this new unit I see working much more like one unit rather than 5 individuals.

I also see the same (sort of) with the WR corp. probably less big play potential but much more consistent and Cam might not have to get every 3rd down conversion with his legs.

We got better overall and I expect we'll at least sign a stopgap at LT after cuts are made. Its really the only spot left that didn't get improved.

Pretty stoked for this upcoming season... Cam has some big targets this year.

As others have said, OT is the biggest concern, but Gettleman will be bringing in guys as cuts begin.

On the WR position, people seem to be forgetting about Underwood, we lost Ginn, but Tiquan is quite fast himself.

Yeah the entire premise of this thread is kind of silly. We are just speculating in May, some of they guys may break out others will be on IR.

I think Avant is a decent receiver but he doesn't offer anything elite. I guess his reliability is elite. Ginn gave our offense something it didn't have. To be honest we didn't use him enough on deep routes but he got open with the threat of his speed too. Lafell would drop chain movers. Ginn would drop shots down field.

I gave the nod to Ginn based on numbers. He had 2 less catches for 110 more yards and 3 more TDs. Avant might have missed a few games with injury. At first I thought Avant was the third option is a pass happy offense. In truth the Eagles are the best running team in the NFL.
