Greg Hardy Arrested

Recommended Posts

On the bright side, if you can call it that.

Hardy just lost a pot load of money for his next contract, so he will have to be phenomenal this season to cut his losses.

Hopefully, he will earn his dollars here this year.

Has anything happened to Ray Rice since his incident? Or are they still waiting to see if he will be punished?

Sorry if this has been discussed already.

He has a trial at the end of this month. Seems to be mostly speculation as to what the league may or may not do at this point.

What?! Have you read the books? I love that dastardly imp!

I know he'd sacrifice his brother just to spite his father and sister.

I see it more as if Jaime dies then so will Tyrion, and there goes the bloodline. I think it was a basically a big fug you to Tywin.

There are two types of men in this world, those who are capable of hitting a woman and those who are not.

Sad to hear Hardy is the type that can.

I don't know. I think under the right circumstances, any of us could do it once.

I think the differences are if you could do it repeatedly and how you feel about it afterwards.

I actually slapped a young lady's glasses off her face on the school bus in the 7th grade. She provoked the hell out of me and it wasn't until she actually mushed me in the face that I responded, literally without thinking.

It ate at me for weeks and I eventually apologized to her. I remember the incident like it was yesterday, even what she was wearing. And I'm a long way from the 7th grade now. I've never put my hands on another female in my life. But, in that one instance, I wasn't in the mood and she pushed all the wrong buttons.

NO. There is absolutely NO reason to lay your hand on a woman. Period. End of story.

I'm sorry, but if you're being attacked by a woman you have the right to defend yourself. Of course, domestic violence is always one-sided but the law is there to protect both sex's.

According to an incident report, police responded to a call around 4:18 a.m. Tuesday at the 100 block of North Tryon Street. A 24-year-old woman, who said she and Hardy had been in a relationship since September, said Hardy physically assaulted and threatened her, according to the report.

The report states she suffered minor injuries – bruises and scratches – and she refused treatment. The report says the victim had been drinking alcohol.

Hardy was booked into Mecklenburg jail just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, said Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Julia Rush. He was photographed, fingerprinted and spoke with a magistrate who denied him bond.

Rush said it’s typical in domestic violence cases for suspects to be denied bond for a day-long “cooling-off period.” Hardy’s first appearance before a district court judge has not been scheduled, but that usually occurs within a day of an arrest. That judge would have the authority to set a bond for Hardy.

Twitter and Instagram posts suggest Hardy was at Bubble, a champagne lounge and nightclub located in Epicentre, on Monday night before the reported incident.

    • All true, Stafford and Mccvay were both talking about "retiring" during those future picks too, I member. In my computer when you make future trade, I feel you have to factor in the worst case or close to it from your side. The big issue for the panthers, maybe even now is that they have not proven they can draft well enough to trade. I know that Dan and company have not traded future picks and they seem to always want 7-8 picks overall. They like to trade 3 picks for 3 picks or 2 for 2.   It would have been great to flip BB for that haul and use those Rams picks instead of the first overall pick...... Verse wise, Jesus what a beast....... Garrett is the top dawg and all, but man this is rough for me. I also noticed this about the panthers they are pedo bears, they like dem young. So a 25 year old verse would have gotten gigged with the panthers. Even with NIL and 6th year, and even coofus fallback, panthers prefer younger players. Monroe Freeling (Round 1, Pick 19 | OT, Georgia): 21 years old Lee Hunter (Round 2, Pick 49 | DT, Texas Tech): 22 years old (estimated) Chris Brazzell II (Round 3, Pick 83 | WR, Tennessee): 22 years old Will Lee III (Round 4, Pick 129 | CB, Texas A&M): 21-22 years old (estimated) Sam Hecht (Round 5, Pick 144 | C, Kansas State): 21-22 years old (estimated) Zakee Wheatley (Round 5, Pick 151 | S, Penn State): 22 years old (estimated) Jackson Kuwatch (Round 7, Pick 227 | LB, Miami OH): 22-23 years old   Tetairoa McMillan, WR (Arizona) — Age: 22 Nic Scourton, EDGE (Texas A&M) — Age: 20 Princely Umanmielen, EDGE (Ole Miss) — Age: 21 Trevor Etienne, RB (Georgia) — Age: 20 Lathan Ransom, SAF (Ohio State) — Age: 23 Cam Jackson, DT (FL)- age 22 Mitchell Evans, TE (ND)- age 22 Horn-22   Fitterererere just turned out to be a awful hire, too green, too willing to please, no sense of what talent looks like on teams other than Seahawks, too much pressure, didnt have the correct network of coaches and FO office people. Kick was herniay leftd him with a bare bones talent to start with and besides taking a bottom level team and improving it, he made it even worse AND trading prime draft picks to prolong the timeline to fix. People forget Dan didn't have the 1st overall pick and 39th overall(that dude looking good for bears) to repair this team. Dan could have traded that 1st overall for a proven 1k WR, 9th overall, future 1st and future 2nd......
    • When I read the OP I was thinking more of the Franchise than the league but I agree.  To me DB is the only guy right now but I could see TMac being on the list.
    • “All-timers” usually stand out early and often.  There really isn’t much wiggle room.  Not many of the greats magically figured it out 3-4 years in.  Franchise greats is another story.  They don’t even have to be all that good to become a legend.  One play or game can make a guy a hometown hero.
