Power Rankings of all 32 offenses, post draft - guess who's dead last

I wonder why some of you are Panther fans. Ragging on a team that finished 12-4 is pretty pathetic. Everyone knows BR is total $hit. This years team will be ranked better than last years. May not have 12 wins, but the ranking will be higher.

This is May 18th, 2014. Not a single person on this Earth can tell you who the best or worst offenses are in the NFL for the 2014-15 season, not a single person!

The Panthers lost 1 WR that actually mattered and that was Steve Smith and they brought in Optimus Prime to replace him. I would compare it to the Colts losing Manning and gaining Luck. Manning and Smith are both excellent, but they're very old in football years. Luck and Prime are the future for the next 15 years. Sometimes you have to lose now to gain for the next decade, and sometimes you don't. The Panthers were put in a situation by the previous GM that made them chose between now and the next decade, and they wisely took the next decade.

The other two WRs we lost had such pedestrian numbers compared to the rest of the NFL that it is laughable that we're crying over these guys. Ginn I understand to the extent that he was an explosive play maker if you could get the ball in his hands. Lafell though? Brandon Lafells are a dime a dozen in the NFL. Big WR, who isn't that quick and isn't a great catcher. I liked Lafell, but we were writing the man checks he wasn't worth. Every year there are guys like Lafell in Free Agency and the draft.

I'm not saying our offense is going to be better next season, I expect it to be a lot of the same. However, I don't think it'll be worst in the league by any means.

After last season I've decided to support the Jags. They get kicked around so much.

Agreed, if Justin Blackmon wasn't a complete idiot, they'd probably have the 2nd best WR core in the NFL, if not the best.

Our offense was bad last year. I feel like a broken record saying it but it was worse than it was under Chud. I could make a longer post about it with some statistics about it but I'm moving and stuck posting from my phone for a few days.

Anyway, the offense was bad, but I'm not willing to totally write off Shula yet. For example, Cam threw the ball a career low # of times but took a career high # of sacks. I know there were a lot of problems with the line which is why you can't put that entirely on Shula. I certainly didn't want Shula back but I basically see this as a prove it year for him.

Oh yeah...and we won't be dead last in offense, fug b/r. I have a feeling it's going to be the Raiders who are dead last for some reason

Lol @ people continually trying to justify Shula's offense and our desire to want a more prolific offense. I don't believe that a top 10 offense and a top 3 defense are mutually exclusive. We have Cam Newton, and all some of you can do is justify a glorified Foxball type of philosophy. Screw that! Protect Cam and surround him with ample weapons, and maximize his talent irrespective of what the defense is doing.

Shula is a good coordinator. His play calling and adjustments were good. Cam loves him, everyone else respects him. It's not his fault all his WRs sucked last year and he was working with a 4th string o-line.

Chudzinski's yardage & point totals are for fantasy football. Shula's efficient, ball control offense wins games.

Lmao Cam doesn't love Shula. Anyone that is around the team will tell you this. If front of the media of course he says the right things, as he should. The running backs and o-line love Shula. The WRs and anyone involved in the passing game not so much. Chud put up numbers with the SAME o-line and WRs (not a chud fan but addressing your point). Last season Shula was running Chud's passing game. The numbers don't lie as far as statistical analysis, which is what I thought we were talking about.

If we are going to talk about how much Cam luuuvvvvs Shula and other things we can't quantify, that's fine too. Our offense not being able to beat Seattle either time or San Fran in the playoffs = not good enough. What other 12-4 team brings in another coach to help with the O-coordinator with the passing game?

No he didn't. That's laughable.

Chud had a healthy & much more talented o-line.

Chud had a 32yo Pro Bowler Steve Smith who played out of his freaking mind.

Chud had Jeremy Shockey + Greg Olsen 2TE sets.

Shula had Kalil-Gross & a bunch of other guys who had no business seeing the field.

Shula had a 34yo & injured Steve Smith who showed his age & looked the worse he's ever looked in his career.

Shula did not have Shockey or any other viable TE opposite Olsen.

But hey, Shula had Butterfinger Ginn!!!!
