How do you see our division this year?

I think the Saints are going to tank. Brees is closer to being done than a lot of people realize. He's already throwing floaters and his candyass can't play outside anymore. A few body slams courtesy of Hardy should put him away.

The loss of sproles is going to hurt that team more than there willing to admit. There D may have to keep them in some games.

Don't sleep on cooks. Brees can make rookies look amazing.

Also I was thinking how I almost felt sorry for cooks. He got drafted to a team with a qb whose time table is running short. Benjamin got drafted to a team whose qb is up and coming.

Lol cooks is going be stuck in obscurity in 3 years.

The Falcons are a bit of a mystery. Matt Ryan is arguably a top 10 QB, but they were god awful last year. That's not something you see just about ever because if you have a good QB you usually have at least a decent team.

So based on QBs alone, I'll go.

Saints

Panthers

Falcons

Tampa

But Lovie Smith went to a Super Bowl with Rex Grossman, so who knows what we could do in Tampa.

I believe that NFC South might end up being the top conference in the NFC.  You have 3 franchise QBs, and IMO all of the teams become more balanced on each side of the ball.  You know the motto "gotta beat the best to be the best"

1. Panthers 13-3   ( 2 division lost and 1 AFC)   NFCS champions.

2. Saints 12-4

3. Atlanta 10-6

4. Tampa 9-7

Reading the ESPN thread got me wondering.

Not being a homer here, but I think we repeat.

1. Carolina

2 (very close second) New Orleans.

3. Tampa Bay

$ Atlanta

I can see the Saints winning it again this year, but I think our D will be even better

and I see us finishing no less than second.

Seems like every one but David Newton makes knee jerk predictions because "they lost a lot

in free agency."  This team has learned how to win and they are still very hungry.  We won't be losing to

teams like Buffalo this year.  The only teams that will be us will be very good teams, or we get a bad break

from the refs.

Am I being a homer?

How do you see the division shaking out?

Panthers: 11-13 wins

Saints: 10-12 wins

Bucs: 8-10 wins

Falcons 7-9 wins

defense wins championships and the Panthers have the most stout D in the division. i think with such sure-handed receivers and/or big targets, it wont matter too much what happens with the tackle positions. Cam can and normally will get the ball out quickly enough to nullify an opponent's pass rush. I could see the Saints stealing the division from us like we stole it from them last year, but neither of the other teams have what it takes to make a serious run at the division crown. i could almost see the Saints and Panthers tying for wins (somewhere around 11 or 12 wins apiece) and the Saints taking the crown on a tiebreaker. we'll see though...

right after the draft, i compiled an in-depth, game-by-game season prediction for the Panthers and had them taking 13 wins. i still think this is possible but i will revisit the prediction after the fourth preseason game. it will help to see how our boys fare against other teams and how training camp goes. but i am optimistic about the season. i think the Panthers at least get into the playoffs with a wildcard.

He looked livid when they picked him. Didnt he just leave the draft studio?
