Graham ruled a tight end

Recommended Posts

And I love having him as a Saint. But to act like Jimmy isn't put in the best postition to make him succeed is somewhat one sided to me. If he had to play #1 corners every week, like Calvin Johnson, A.J. Green, and Fitz, then he wouldn't be nearly as productive in my opinion. Tight end is the position he plays and succeeds in.

Show me a # 1 receiver that plays predominantly in the slot. Graham will get somewhere between 9-10 million a year and that will be fair.

Aqib Talib shut him out from having a single catch last year. He's a tight end.

Jerry Rice played a game and didn't catch a single pass. Don't know the CB who held him to no receptions in a game. Does that mean he is a TE too then?

lol Jimmy Graham would get crushed if he had to play like a #1 WR instead of a TE/WR tweener.

There's no way  in fug he deserves top 5 WR money.

Hey Jimmy, if you want to be designated a WR, stop calling yourself a TE and accepting pro bowl bids as a TE.

We need to immediately put KB on the roster listed as a tight end. We can play him as a WR as much as we want, just list him as a tight end. Then four years from now when he gets paid we'll save big money.

Do it Gettleman. Exploit this poo for as long as the rules allow. That's what a good GM would do.

I don't remember anyone shutting J.R. out, but hey, anything can happen. I'm just stating facts sir.

I'm not saying Graham isn't a TE.  I wouldn't use being shut down by a corner as a reason.

    • He is "Keep Pounding." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45498715/nfl-carolina-panthers-chuba-hubbard-olympics-flag-football-track
    • This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
    • I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.
