Geno Smith: 'Why not us' in the Super Bowl?

You do realize he was asked a question about their Super Bowl chances right? What is he supposed to say? "We have absolutely no shot"? This is nothing.

You do realize the kids are just having some fun? Why do you feel the need to rain on their parade? Everybody is just antsy for some football. Let them blow off a little steam. Geesh. Always one in every crowd. The Neville Longbottom of the Huddlez.

Because your coach is Rex Ryan.

(turns out that wasn't such a tough question after all)

Who took his team to two conference championship games with Mark Sanchez in case you forgot. Are we down to bashing teams for wanting to win the Super Bowl?

Really not any different than when Kalil took the section out in the observer except smith didn't say they would win it. I mean we weren't exactly tearing the league up when Kalil made that prediction. I don't see the problem here. I mean I don't think they will by any means but don't see the big deal either.

You give the answer that every other millionaire high profile athlete does in this day in age, not appease the sleazeball journalists and opposing fans, and say:

"I think we have a great team here in New York that can surprise a lot of people, but we're just looking at training camp and taking this one day at a time and I know if we work hard then we'll be in the picture come playoff time"

Open and close case, move on, and seem likeable

Was Barry Switzer a good coach too?

As mentioned elsewhere, the Ryan boys have a tendency to start fast and then fade.  It happens because while they're good at making an early impact, they're not so good at adjusting and opposing catches tend to catch up to them, and surpass them.

Been said more than once that the only reason Rex still has a job at this point is that Woody Johnson likes his bravado.

You know I expect Geno to be good even very good a few years down the line and if you payed any attention he showed flashes his mistakes came from inexperience but he is big and is somewhat a running threat and has shown commitment to throw first also that dolphins game late last year showed me he can win when it all comes together without any sort of wide receiver help
