Graham signs long term deal

Captain Morgan

Recommended Posts

Terms of the contract weren't immediately available, but it was expected to make Graham the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. ESPN reported the deal was for four years and $40 million with $21 million guaranteed. However the full numbers aren't available, and those will provide a more complete picture of how it's structured.

This is great news for the Panthers. Between this contract, the one they gave the mole, and how they somehow were able to sign Byrd this off season, they are going to be in cap hell for a while.

Years down the road, while we're inking guys like Lotulelei, Kuechly and Benjamin to long term deals, the Aints might have to let guys like Cam Jordan, Vacarro and Stills walk. I look at this as another step towards those swamp rats becoming the bottom dwellers of the South they once were.

Hey tubby, if you don't see the freight train coming 2-4 years down the road then may I suggest you lose your damn Jupiter-sized gut blocking your vision cuz the lights are blinding and horn is roaring at you to move out damn way, fatboii.

He'll be rooting for a different team by that point anyway.

Saints fan for life = been a fan since 2006.

New Orleans Saints Top 51 Contracts for 2015: $152,812,279

Workable I suppose, but I'd hate to have that number.

Considering that will be over the cap by at least 12 million, doesn't count the rookies still to be signed and no free agents next year, it is way over the pale.  We admit we are in cap hell and only have 127 million committed to the cap next year.

Saints fans denied bountygate was an issue until it blew up in their face, why would they be realistic about their cap situation?  Their biggest issue has been that haven't really drafted that well and have to rely on free agency to get their players which costs too much to keep doing year after year.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
