Ray Rice's ko of his fiance on camera is certainly equal to Hardy's incident where a known gold digger starts throwing insane accusations with the only proof being injuries that she herself could've inflicted. Let's not even get into a phone call where you can hear her in the background acting crazy. I just don't see the proof when she avoids police when they arrive, misses court dates, then shows up late describing an unbelievable scene. I understand there are trolls who want to see the Panthers hurt, but this case spits in the eye of so many other domestic abuse cases for women that would've been tossed if not for this being so high profile. Just wish people would read the facts before lynching the guy.

I actually did look into it. Seems that it can happen with people who are sensitive or people that use a ton of it. Interesting. It appears using it intravenously increases the occurrence (although they seemed to think that had more to do with dose than method).

yeah caffeine can cause it for some people, but everyone has heard about "meth bugs" and meth heads digging into their skin and all that....same thing

Crack heads do tend to do the same thing. I've been around lots of recreational users and heavier recreational users but I would assume given what was said is that this tends to be something more common amongst addicts and very heavy users.

Can we please disagree and provide context around the facts of the case without being sexist knuckle dragging neanderthals?

Personally, I find it unfortunate that Ashley Fox is using this case as an example of the domestic violence problems in this country (of which there are many) because once you dig into the facts of the case, it undermines a lot of her argument.

While victims need not be saints to be taken seriously or be afforded justice, there are enough red flags in the case to question the credibility of the accuser. Domestic violence should never be accepted but neither should potentially unfounded accusations be allowed to destroy the reputation of individuals.

Can we put this exact post at the beginning and end of all threads related to Kraken/Holder?

      The word I feel most comfortable using as a descriptor is "inconsistent". Haven't really seen anyone disagree with that. Consistency being one of the things I value most in a player, that makes me lean toward moving on. But he does still have both time and opportunity to prove otherwise. Mind you, having a streaky quarterback isn't exactly a new thing in Charlotte (you could argue it's been the norm). Delhomme was notorious for starting slow but finishing strong. He could sadly also find hos way into ruts that were difficult to crawl out of. Newton, on the other hand, was often known to start hot but fade late (the vast majority of the 2015 season followed that pattern) though it could be argued that was a team pattern as much as it was Cam's.  There are definitely some fans for whom this is always going to be a bridge too far. (or too short) Realistically, it's not impossible that he could still have a good career even with those issues. It's a damn sight more difficult, though. And arguably, less likely.

      Oh, I did, and they weren't based in emotions either. Granted, characterizing them that way gives you an easy out to avoid responding to them. Similar tactic to dismissing the other guy's points with "nah, you didn't really watch the games" which saves you having to debate what he said. Strikes me as a kinda lazy way to go, but hey both elements are still back there if you feel up to trying later.
