I agree with keeping Pilares, make him the 5th or 6th and designated return man. He's taken one to the house before so we know he has the ability. I'd rather our starters or large, role players not return unless they have to - especially someone older like Cason.

6 WR's and 3 TE's is doable if we stick with 2 QB's, but I can't imagine them signing Webb to a 2 year deal and cutting him after camp.

There's a reason he was drafted where he was by the Broncos.  He was a locker room guy and deep ball threat for the bulldogs and I've been thinking for quite some time he's the one who steps up.

Exciting to hear that he's doing well.  He has the occasional drop but nothing that's too detrimental a la LaFail.

As of now, I'd keep:

KB-Cotchery-Avant-King-Bersin

Lucas->PS

Drop Underwood and McNutt

If King can be that deep ball threat then Underacheiver.... I mean Underwood is expendable.

I also agree about keeping Pilares.  Last KR to the house was by Pilares.  He reminds me of a Nick Goings of WRs.

Pilares should stick around for special teams.

Isn't he the only one who has ran back a return for a TD in the regular season in the last 3 or more years?

Bah, we need a good returner.

Lol he sucks as a returner. Maybe he has improved. But after smith stopped ginn was are only good returner

I wouldn't say he sucked when he did it, but I'll grant that he didn't have top-tier breakaway speed:

But before Ginn, I really liked Mark Jones. He was never really a threat to take it to the house, but that dude always cleanly fielded kicks and punts and almost always picked up decent yardage.

Really think we may keep as many as 10 guys between WR and TE, especially with the apparent resurrecting of the two TE set in Carolina.

WR: Benjamin, Cotchery, Avant, King, Bersin, Pilares (maybe Brown if he does better as a KR in preseason). Lucas and possibly Brown to PS.

TE: Olsen, Dickson, Williams, McNeil (Hartsock role)

2:54  Steve Reed @SteveReedAP Retweeted by  Second pick of the day for rookie CB Bene Benwikere. The rookie from San Jose State is challenging Charles Godfrey for nickel spot.

2:53  Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview Retweeted by  DeCoud screams from sideline, "Big play Bene!"

I believe its more like Benwikere owning nickel spot while Godfrey ponders agreement to take a pay cut.

I'd rather take underwood over pileras.

Underwood has proven production. He'll probably make it as the 6th wr

Tiquan is going to have to stop dropping passes before we can talk about taking him over a guy who has already been here. I am an Underwood supporter, I'd like to see him stick here, we need all the help we can get. But first and foremost you have to catch the ball.
