Bell getting some love on NFL.com

I don't remember him coming to camp out of shape, but your LT's generally have to be more agile and lighter to contend with the defenses best pass rusher - thus losing weight was a no brainer. I've never questioned Bell's motives or work ethic, for me it was just a question of ability.

He's never come in so egregiously heavy that the team wouldn't let him practice. But Jordan Gross talked about him dieting at the start of camp to make weight last year.

Anyone know of a case were a offensive lineman played better at left tackle than at right?  Just seems like Bell is a totally different player on the left side from watching the preseason.

I read somewhere that he is left handed, I wonder if this has helped him in this transition?

In Bell's case, yes, it's because he's left handed.  Everything on that side of the line happens more naturally for him.  That's not saying he wouldn't have been a better RT this season though.  He came in with a purpose and determination to prove people wrong.  We would have probably seen him do better on the right side than previous seasons, but him being a lefty, naturally made that side of the line a better fit for him.

Gettleman made the observation that Bell was left handed and said that the left side might be a natural fit for him. The huddle mocked and laughed. Gettleman was quoted as saying that Bell had "classic left tackle feet" which translated to me as, "I know more than dipsh!ts on a message board."

Bell might not be destined for Canton, but I guarantee you he will do better than Moses Morgan will this year.

And to think at least one poster wished torn cartilage on him and was disappointed when he was fine after tweaking his knee one afternoon in Spartanburg.

That's because those posters are nothing but dipsh*t lowlifes that would rather be proven right than to have their team win and be proven wrong. I wouldn't even call them fans. I don't care if a player is playing bad or you don't like him, you should NEVER wish injury on anybody.

I remember a scouting report from when him and Cam entered the draft saying that he was a natural LT that could start as a LG and then move to the outside his sophomore season.
