Will the Super Bowl ever be played in BOA?

So today I had a nice conversation with a former employee of the Carolina Panthers and we were talking stadium upgrades. My thoughts were the upgrades were a step in the right direction for the Panthers and the city of Charlotte hosting a future Super Bowl. He believes that Charlotte will never host a Super Bowl because it doesn't have enough hotel rooms to accommodate the big game. That's an interesting dynamic that I never considered. He brought up Jacksonville having to bring in cruise ships to act as floating hotel rooms, an option that wouldn't be possible in Charlotte.

Your thoughts? Will the Panthers ever get to host to the Super Bowl?

Probably not. The NFL is all about monetizing and Charlotte can't help with that right now like a New York or Miami can.

Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. It could happen 10+ years down the road.

I live in Arlington, and when the Cowboys hosted, there wasn't thought to be nearly enough hotels available but, surprise, there were.

 

And Charlotte is bigger than Arlington. Much more hotel space just downtown alone in Charlotte.

The Super Bowl is just like the Olympics or the World Cup.  The economic impact isn't anywhere near what the city leaders think it will be.

I hope not.  As an NC resident it would just be awful for the economy.

 

And, of course, most of you will call me out and ask if I would like to have it in Buffalo.  Of course, I would.  Because you'd hear nothing but media folks bitching and complaining about how cold and dark it is with so little around.  Than it would be cold as hell and lots of snow for the game.  It'd just be a great thing to see.  Especially because I do not ever imagine the Bills ever making the playoffs again.

I don't see it happening in Charlotte. I would love it if every stadium got to host it in rotation. So basically every city got to host every 31 years (31 since the Giants and Jets both use the same stadium).
