Tolbert is fullback we have Williams Stewart and Fozzy as running backs that's three. We may just keep 3 running backs but if we don't there are some great young back ups we could sign.

Still, that's a lot of backs to carry.

Not enough carries to go around.

Different QB.

I hate the comparison between them.

Big Ben make plays with his arm when scrambling. Cam does it with his legs.

Yeah they are different, no doubt. Im hoping this year Cam starts to scramble to pass rather than run. It cuts down on the hits he takes and also keeps the defense off balance because they don't know if he's running on passing.

Kinda like that great play against Atlanta last year where he jucked three defenders in the backfield and then threw to Smitty.

To his credit, I think that's what he was trying to do against New England on the play he was injured on.

You guys get your own thread to fill up with this moronic drivel. it's difficult enough to navigate the mobile version of this site as it is without having to dig through all your idiotic prattling to find real, actual news.

Proehl doesn't make decisions on who to keep or who to cut.

That's Gettleman's bwahahahahaha penguins job.

We obviously don't know what goes on behind the scenes or anything. But it wouldn't surprise me if Ricky has a ton of pull when it comes to the WR group.

If Ricky loved King do you think Gettleman would've still cut him?

He seems to be managing well as a second fiddle to Torrey Smith in BMore.

It was a personal move on Gettleman's behalf and it was a horrible, yet intentional, mistake. However you want to look at it - Smitty complementing KB, or KB complementing Smitty - it would've been better than what we currently have.

You guys still think the Smitty thing was personal? I'm not gonna get back into that pointless discussion again, but that's just crazy.

Tell that to the 49ers, patriots usually keep a lot of backs as well. If you consider Williams and Stewart's health then at least having a Rb on the practice squad as insurance is a good idea. I believe Barner is PS eligible. I wouldn't mind Seastrunk or Mathew Tucker if we can get them and stash them away on the practice squad.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
