I don't think we suck ass at WR this year. I think we are young and will make mental mistakes. About work ethic-- I base it on improvement and growth. Nobody has improved more than Bersin. Not all players work as hard as others, and I never said that Bersin was the only player who worked hard. It is obvious that he has, my only point.

His route running, body positioning, hands--everything he does maximizes his ability to succeed. That is a kid who listens to his coaches and works to improve. Do you think McNutt worked as hard as Bersin? I don't, but we will never know,. Bersin is going to be an average WR if he succeeds. However, I am tired of seeing balls getting dropped, and he doesn't do that.

You haven't seen him against starting competition and you haven't seen him in a live game to know that or not. And we aren't really that young Avant and Cotchery are both over 30.

I could say the same to you--he wasn't given the opportunity to play vs. the starters.   That means he was catching balls from 3 QBs--not one.  It is hard to get used to one.

I see your points, Ace--we are all guessing.  When I think of our WR corps, I think it is about the young core--Cotchery and Avant are 1-2 year stop gaps.  I have to think that KB, Bersin, and maybe Brown are the future.  I also think they want to work with Lucas on the PS. I am not sure we draft another first round WR for a while.

At the start of the offseason everyone thought that King and Mcnutt were the future, isn't that the excuse that was being tossed around for the roster moves? Now neither are on the team. I just don't think this team has a real plan for the position, I'm not going to go as far as the sabotage Cam thing, but they aren't going above and beyond to surround him with weapons. I can't knock you for your optimism tho

Philly is the 5th string receiver? And call it a hunch, but I don't just find it a coincidence that Bersin, from Charlotte, the first Terrier to be in the NFL since Richardson, is playing in Charlotte for Richardson. Trust me, he earned it, but being from Wofford helped his case immensely.

You should stop and think after "he earned it"

I seriously doubt jr gives a **** who played from where. Hell he may not even know where he is right now

I want another stud in there with KB--don't get me wrong.  It is what it is.  I think Bersin is a #3 and could make a nice living as one.  I think we did provide him with a huge weapon in KB (if the draft were today, he would be a top 10 pick) and Dickson helps.  I am worried about the OL.   However, if you go back and read boards from nearly every year the panthers have been a team, we are worried about the OL.  If you read other teams' boards, they are saying the same things.

I guess we'll find out soon enough

I believe we will miss Ginn more than any receiver from last season. Call me crazy, but if you watch the season review that is playing on TWC over and over, Ginn made a game changing catch and play 4 or 5 times last season. I'm not saying he is a #1 receiver, but the dude was actually clutch at times for us last season, not to mention his punt returns.

Everyone wanted Dickson out of Baltimore because he had horrible hands. :(

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
