3. Carolina Panthers

Pro Football Focus rated the Panthers’ defense the second best in Week 1 with a 21.9 rating and gave their pass coverage top honors. Carolina’s cornerbacks yielded just 28 yards after the catch to the Buccaneers.

I'm trying to figure out why everyone is so high on the Eagles.

This.  They looked like the worst team in the league in the 1st half.  One of my best friends is a HUGE Eagles fan and he even says that he thinks they're a middle of the road team right now.  He got a good chuckle out of ESPN's power rankings himself.

CBS also has us 18th in power rankings- up 4 spots from last week but still behind the Jets.

Just goes to show that it's too early in the season to sort out who's good and who ain't.

    • I distinctly remember before our 2015 season there was talk about training camp and how it wasn't going great, and then their was the Cam Norman fight. From the outside it looked like chaos but we had something truly special that year.  Remember last year when Bryce "torched" the Jets then had one of the worst two game back to backs in panthers history? I didn't go but I heard that attending a Matt Rhule TC it was obvious he wasn't an NFL coach  Might point being is take it all with a grain of salt some things come to fruition and some things don't
    • yeah, the comp was a little bit of an interesting one.  I mean, you can love someone's energy and speed.  Horn could also run horrible routes and need a year to the side the get at the NFL level.  He also coming out of that really quirky Colorado O that was overly pass heavy O that was super spread out.   Horn going to have to get used to blocking, hands on him, and all sorts of stuff.  He was a 6th rounder for a reason.
    • Recent draft picks tend to be safe unless they are clearly beat out.  They will keep 6 WR with Moore and Renfroe battling for the last spot.
