I'm with Hardy

I'm with treating Hardy's situation the same as he would have been treated before Ray Rice. Nothing has changed in regards to Hardy's situation so unless the NFL/Panthers were always planning to suspend him after week 1 then the legal process should be allowed to play out.

I mean, if you can't see the differences between what Rice did and what Hardy's being accused of you're an idiot. We have 100% proof of what Rice did and we have a 911 call by Hardy that puts what he's been accused of into some amount of doubt. Hence the legal process being allowed to play out.

What sucks here is situations are dynamic. Sometimes there aren't black and white issues. I've been physically assaulted by nearly every girl I've ever dated, especially when I was little younger. I've had a girl smash a glass bottle on my floor and kick $400 worth of dents into my metal apartment door. Unfortunately, she got some rug burns on her back when I obviously had to vacate her from my apartment. It's possible I could have gotten charged with something that night. Part of that was my fault because I knew she was crazy but she was effin hot and great in bed. Men can be stupid. Men can be violent. Same for women. Life is fuged up sometimes. Can I rush to judge Greg Hardy? No. But can I fully support him right now. I don't think so either. If he lashed out and intentionally hurt this girl that's not okay. Honestly, I don't know how the fanbase should feel about Greg Hardy right now.

The harsh reality is that it has been open season on Nfl players and their so called money for ages. The whiff of never having to worry about paying bills - getting into the most exclusive clubs - leaving poverty and this is for all races : Latino black white there's no exception has created an environment where this young men are preyed on by everyone who's after their hard earned money.

Violence against women is unacceptable and hardy got caught up in a situation where my gut instinct which I'm sure is the same with probably most of us is that he will be exonerated.

If you look at the top teams in the NFL and let's pick New England - they thrive at a times like this.

Their fans have complete trust in their organization to have a handle on team affairs without letting emotions or outside interference get in their way. "What do you think about Wes Welker now"

I can't even begin how hard it must be for NFL players who just had how much money they make broadcasted all over the news including how much guaranteed cash they will be making is.

Everyone from bankers with loans "I had a friend who was a star athlete and he was being offered $300,000 loans with no guarantees" to jewelry sellers ready to rip them off "Dez Bryant " and college programs making billions of dollars and not wanting to share with players.

Now add young women that can see their dreams right before their eyes - a guaranteed cash machine to create their home as they imagined on pininterest. Few truly care like we do as fans.

As a panther fan I have complete faith that Ron , Getts and the Big cat know their job and responsibility.

This is a new day. These young millionaire contracted athletes will have to be aware. They need to know that even among people who are fans of the sport there are those who resent the fact that the athletes are millionaires and that they, the average Joes, are not. There are many women who see these athletes, by one means or another, as tickets into the money and lavish lifestyle. Some of them do not take kindly to being rejected, especially after they have given themselves sexually to these athletes. For those of you who believe that some of these women don't have less than good intentions, you are just naïve, and do not know the capability of some women. Which is, by the way, the same as the capability of some men for evil and mendacity.

    • I try to keep up and project the roster with color-coded charts.  You can see priorities and gauge who has the best chance of making the roster--you can see the priorities as well.  Here, Yellow is a 2025 draft pick, green is an undrafted free agent, and orange is a free agent. The depth chart will obviously change and I am not sure about roles (positions in all cases), so that is not the real issue at this time, but yellows and oranges show how the team focused on which aspects of the defense:     In the front 5, there were 3 draft picks, 3 free agents (not including players we re-signed), and two undrafted players signed. In the back 6, there was 1 draft pick and 2 free agents (LB, S), and four undrafted free agents. The undrafted free agents are always long shots, but by identifying them, you can tell which longshots might make the roster.
    • The rise of analytics in sports goes back to the use of sabermetrics in baseball.  The ironic thing is that the whole point of Bill James work was to objectively figure out each players contribution to to a team's wins throughout the season.  This is possible in baseball because each at bat is essentially a 1v1 with an objective outcome.  Applying statistical averages also works a lot better with hundreds of plate appearances over 162 games a year. PFF grades plays subjectively, and then puts them into buckets.  They then create different statistics based on those buckets.  That's all well and good and I'm not saying it's useless.  But calling it analytics like it's some kind of objective science is a far cry from what is actually going on.
