Smitty may be even more pissed than we thought (Panthers related)

Remember that badass vintage Smitty touchdown last week that looked like he just stepped out of a time machine?  Here it is in case you missed it:

Well... turns out Smitty had the Panthers on his mind the whole time, and seems like his sole purpose this season is to send a message to us, or more specifically, Gettleman.

He has a chip on his shoulder again and he again has something to prove.

He lost that chip while he was playing here...and he lost the need to prove anything last season..   That fire you see in him now, I doubt you would have saw that,  had he remained a Panther this year.

Ditching him worked out well for him,  the Ravens and us.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
