Division

Look, I understand the optimism as I am generally as optimistic as anyone about the prospects of this team. I am pleased that we are seemingly dominating the games we should dominate much like last season.

That said, we have a 1 game lead in the division thus far and 2 over the "vaunted" New Orleans Saints. Time to temper the excitement for a second as many of you remember that we were 2 or 3 games down much of last season until the Saints self-destruction completed in week 16.

I'm impressed by how we have played but the teams we have played do not offer much for a subjective analysis of how good this team is. McCown shot himself in the foot multiple times last week and the only thing known about the Lions is that they at the very least have a decent coaching staff. They beat a bad Giants team which offers little to know information about how good or bad they are.

Now, go enjoy the win, we need to have BOA rocking come Sunday night. Ready for the weekly "Camisms to start rolling out."

PS. Anyone in Brier Creek/RDU area want to crash the Steelers bar in Cary on Subday?

Wtf. We've known about the lions for a long time. They're a damn good football team. We beat a very loaded team, and overcame the stigma of losing the opening week and the slow start.

A loaded team does not a good team make. See the "Dream Team" and the Bears from last season. The fact is Detroit finished 4-12 last year and look to be playing a very similar brand of ball this year.

To say they are a good team after being trounced and beating a bad Giants team is illogical.

All I'm saying is, we've gone through far too many let downs in previous years and I'm just as happy with 2-0 as I was at being 3-3 last season. It's the finish that counts.
