RB Situation

i didn't get to see the entire game because i was at work, but every run i saw called for stewart and tolbert seemed to be right up the gut.

it didn't work last week, and it certainly didn't work this week.

...but then again, the lions were doing the exact same thing. they made zero attempts to run anything but between the tackles.

either both offensive coordinators went full retard, or there's a method to the madness.

the only time i saw stewart not get smashed at or behind the line of scrimmage...he ripped off 20+ yards.

I am watching the games. The blocking has been sufficient in both games, it's been a combination of poor running and bad play-calling. I cannot excuse a 2.4 YPC average.

Again, he faces contact at or before he gets to the line....go back and watch the Tampa game and they literally ran him into a sea of bodies. Stewart's YPC isn't a Stewart problem...it is a OL and playcall issue.

62yds rushing is not really good but DET has a very good run defense (I think they were like 6 against the run last season) so I'll take that. We are not going to have soft secondaries like DET all season so we better get our run game going.

I'm most concerned about Jonathan Stewart. He's looked good enough receiving, but he's been way too inconsistent rushing.

? He broke at least 1 tackle on most plays. The problem is our oline let's him get hit right when he gets the ball
