D.G.saved this season regardless of what some think

But, I've grown to trust Gettleman more. Do I like him? Not really. I don't think he's very personable. I think he uses Rivera as a mouthpiece and leaves him out to dry more than he should.

But, like Scot has said. We need a talent evaluator. And Gettleman has shown he's 100% that.

I wonder if Hurney would have given Hardy a huge 5 year contract? Imagine the hell we would be in now if that had happened.

If Hurney were here, Hardy would have a six year 86 million dollar deal and we would be starting Thomas Keiser.  And you know who his back up would be right?  If you thought Everette Brown, you are correct.

It is very amusing seeing all these people who screamed the sky is falling all off season and hated DG for no valid reason, there wasn't one reason to think he couldn't get the job done, now saying they knew all along we would be fine and just changing their argument to try and save face.

I think that it's more about people who don't actually listen and who can't discriminate between not liking certain moves that Dave Gettleman made (or didn't as it were), but believing in Gettleman's overall effort.  It is either a sign of immaturity or either being disingenuous, pretentious or contentious for the sake of appearing right about something, when you are totally wrong.

The only real point of criticism that Gettleman received during the offseason was the way that he handled the releasing of Steve Smith (not the actual cutting of Smith, mind you).  That was the main point of contention. Within that same vein, there are people like myself who believes that our WR corps would be better to this day if we still had Smith, but, speaking for myself, it is what it is.  No need to keep belaboring the point.

The fact is, speaking for myself, Gettleman proved his worth during the offseason last year, and I have been a G-man supporter ever since, and I challenge anyone to find anything really critical that I've said regarding him other than the way he handled Smitty's release, and to a lesser extent disappointment that he didn't take a chance on James Hurst in round 6 (which was a minor criticism, which is naturally going to happen sometimes).

Don't be the guy who accuses people of saying "the sky is falling" because they don't agree with everything that G-man does.  That notion is probably inaccurate for 90 percent (and probably more) of the people on the Huddle in reference to G-man's overall job.
