I got friends in Jacksonville who are die hard Jags fans...the one thing the Jags got going for them is the cabanas in the stadium. My buddy says it's a pretty fun time...

I read a few seasons ago that the Jags actually have pretty good overall attendance, they just built their stadium way too big. They had like the same overall attendance numbers as Heinz Field, it just looked bad because there were still empty seats. Tearing out some of that empty space for the pool was probly a good idea.

Because as has been stated we are like twins. We both began play in 1995 and our first ever games were against each other. It's easy to compare the two really.

I was stationed at Cecil Field in 1998 99 and I couldn't stand the sports talk radio there.  Good God you thought they were the next dynasty.  

 

After that I quit pulling for them.  And of course that was the beginning of our down time.

Not only that, our mascot is really just a black version of their mascot. 

 

I can't hate the Jags. It's like hating your twin brother who hit a rough patch by getting hooked on meth for the past 5 or so years.

I always have had a soft place in my heart for the Jags...  they're not a threat to us because they're an AFC team, so I didn't have to hate them for any reason.  Add to that, my grandpa lived in Jacksonville my whole life, and when we each got our teams he actually bought me a couple Jaguars shirts and sent them to me, lol.  So, there was an incentive to pull for them in the AFC, but then, we quickly went downhill after that glorious 1996 season, while they had Brunell, Smith, and McCardell and were repeatedly going to the playoffs.  A part of me became jealous and started to really despise them... 

 

But, like Cracka said, they're like the little brother that developed a drug habit...  I feel bad for them and their fans.  And for as large as that metro-area is, I still have a hard time believing that they can't fill that stadium up.  I definitely hope they're somehow able to keep the team in Jacksonville.
