Should we make a Trade?

Of course yall know how I am about trading away draft picks.  However we were able to get Olsen with a third round pick.  Are there any players out there that could be had on the cheap?  With Hardy being out and CJ's skills declining, I've been thinking perhaps the Jets would be interested in dealing Quinton Coples.  His rookie year, he was able to put up 5.5 sacks from the DE position.  In his sophomore year, they transitioned him to play OLB, and his stats aren't spectacular at all from there.  This guy is a 4-3 DE, and perhaps the Jets would be willing to let him go for a 3rd pick and a cornerback. (I elect Josh Norman, but it would be a hard sale indeed)

Alright, what tackle prospects would we be looking at if hypothetically we were considering trading for one?  I don't think there is one, especially on the left side.  If they are any way decent, that team isn't going to give him up.  The only tackles that are on the trading block, will be the same quality of tackle that are free agents right now.

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
