Our secret weapon for Ravens : Josh Norman

i don't understand the huddle's fascination with putting josh norman, the most unstable, easily-goaded player on this football team on veteran-savvy, mercurial steve smith.

i say keep him the fug away at all costs. put cason on him (save for the steelers game he's looked great as a tackler) and keep a safety on his side of the field and bracket him, hope to limit him as much as possible, and pray to all the gods that our pass rush gets some pressure on flacco.

Because this is what it is going to take.

I have no idea why people think putting Josh fuging Norman on Steve Smith of all people is a good idea.  That would literally probably be one of the easiest match ups Steve could get in the NFL.

He'd probably get 100 yards just in penalties, then Norman end up ejected... on top of Steve being so fired up he'd make one of his trademark Smitty plays when he's fired up like that.  In case for whatever reason you haven't noticed, Smitty never gets flagged.

We're going to see a 120% Steve Smith this Sunday, and he's gonna leave it all on the field - and if you haven't noticed yet, he's actually playing pretty fuging good this year so far (had he not had all those drops in week 1 he'd likely be top 3 in receiving yards, possibly challenging #1.  He's already only 6 yards out of top 5).  If this was Steve's last game as a pro I think he'd be content just as long as he went off against us.  This game is his Super Bowl right now and I don't want Norman any damn where near him.

I mentioned in a Lions thread a few weeks ago that Norman shouldn't get on the field for fear that the Ravens would put Steve out there with him.
