Rough Meltdown ~

Was hard to watch this game.  My own thoughts (post rage).

1.  Defenders seem afraid to tackle / wait for someone else to make the tackle.  There is no 'hunger' to destroy who has the ball.

2.  No rush at the QB.  Hardy isn't here - next man up.  We need to put pressure on the QB.

3.  Annoyed at the coaches.  If I am sitting here knowing that they are gonna get the ball to Smith, and I also know they are going to run the ball because of last week's fiasco - why not have a game plan ready for this?   Double up Smith and load the box.

Of course that doesn't matter too much because we seemingly forgot how to tackle.

4.  Cam not running.  Two games now where he is sitting in the pocket.  On the one hand it's awesome, but part of what makes him dangerous is his ability to run.  FREE CAM

5.  Kelvintron is obviously a machine...keep feeding him.  Cotchery balled.

6. Our hog molly's on both sides of the game have been embarrassed now 2 games in a row.  Where are their balls?  Start smashing pukes in the mouth already.

Extremely happy for Steve Smith.  I wanted him to catch 4 TD in a losing effort - I hate they won but happy for the best Panther of all time.

Gettleman needs to get to work.  He is known for making the calls no one else wants to - start cutting the perrennial injured bastages and bring in people that want to play.

Cam needs to run - you are the dumbass.

The only dumbasses are the people saying he should be running. If you watched the game you would see he physically can't do it right now. It isn't a coach thing or a scheme thing its a physical "Cam is slower than Peyton Manning" thing. If he was healthy and not running I'd agree with you but right now it isn't feasible to expect that from him.

    • Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
