Kelvin Benjamin

11 targets, 3 receptions, 3 drops, 1 fumble, was his final Stat line, I think?

Am I? That is LaFell-esque. He should've been benched. I don't want to hear. Kelvin lost his composure the same way White did last week.

So basically Cam Newton was at least 22-35 with over 300 yards passing if not for Benjamin's 3 drops. Remember that when you hear people calling Newton's 19-35, "inaccurate."

Just stop.

Cam didn't throw well at all in the first half and a few of the passes to KB were pretty fugging bad. But it's blasphemy to say such things here.

The "fumble" wasn't, his knees were both down when the ball came out and this was just one of 3 horrible calls made in the first quarter by the officials.

And with a group of guys playing RB nobody's ever heard of, he was actually getting a lot of double coverage today since D's don't need to be worried about the running game.

Rookie receivers don't really hit their stride until their 2nd year (Hopkins, Terrance Williams, Flloyd, etc.). The fact that he has gotten out to such a great start clouded our thoughts that he is, in fact, still a rookie and will make rookie mistakes. He will bounce back in a big way next week. I'm sure he is kicking himself for his performance today.

No, you stop. Kelvin at the very least had two easy fugging drops. Inexcusable. Cam placed those two right in his hands and Benjamin dropped them. Blaming Cam when he was the only one moving the chains is absurd especially when he was on point for most of the game.

Not to mention the jump ball he dropped from Cam that was perfect. Anybody blaiming Cam for those drops is fuging retarded. CAm is the only reason we did anything on offense today, cause the O-line, receivers, and Shula sure weren't doing him any favors.

Obviously saw the game through beer goggles or your vision is significantly impaired.

Ya'll are bitching because a rookie who was regarded as a little bit of a project had 1 bad game?

I mean, sure, if the guy did not show any signs of upward trajectory and did not come thru several times already in big time situations you might have a point but in this case you're wrong.

He's a rookie, he's pretty darn good.  He's probably the second best WR you've had in 15 years and that you guys are fussing about him is ludicrous.

He was rookie of the month. Take the good with the bad..or we can just be manic teenage girls who overreact

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
