Lester stinks.  The funny thing is, had he come out for the draft in 2012, he would have been a first round pick like his teammate Mark Barron.  Instead Lester returned to college, and ultimately was an undrafted guy.  Perhaps Barron would have been undrafted if he would have stayed because right now they both stink at this point.

I'm still disappointed Lester hasn't been on the 53 man this year. Yes, he took bad angles at times last year. But the dude made some plays. Harper and Decoud have a few picks of their own this season, but if nothing else, Lester can at least run somebody down from behind.

Lester is SLOW too. There's a couple of NFL WRs he could probably catch from behind. Unfortunately, their names are Jericho Cotchery and Jason Avant.

Part of the offseason , i rewatched a few games. One big weak link was lesters' play, he was letting play after play happen in his area. Then come preseason and same lester as last season maybe even slightly worst. I'm finally start to believe hardy is the difference maker for the back four, they just are nearly all new to one another and don't know the other strengths/weaknesses. Lester belongs right where he is and if he's not improved by seasons end, find another young safety for wikis to work on.

That whom I'm want to step up coach wilkis. sure he do est have the best talent, but he's the best DB coach.

I think the idea is to have a good tackling DB near the line in order to help against the run game. If you remember Davis was a safety at one time and moved to LB. now he has great speed and cover ability for a LB. I think having a safety in the nickle you and play a 2 TE set with the nickle covering a TE instead of a LB. So it is like having him instead of Klein, who is slower. I have thought about doing this with lester as he is slow but big and a good tackler. So if the team is a run heave team that dont throw to TE use 4-3 if they run and pass to TE heavy, then run a nickle with Lester. If they have a speed slot guy use Bene. That is just an idea but it might be hard to decide personnel and you might be making your guys go cold by swapping.

This is the problem= people see Lester get 2-3 gift INT's and never notice all the other stuff and  then we have threads like this......remember

I think the only reason Lester is not on the team is he has no ST role cause he is slow. I have to think he is a better ss than Cole.
