Kevin Durant responding to a criticism of Cam

I was browsing other forums yesterday. Most said the coordinator needs to be fired.

Opponents' forums? I was looking at the Seahawks one and all they were talking about was how bad Cam was and how he isn't half the player or leader that Wilson is and all that bullsh(t. Like once every couple of pages someone would say "Can't blame Cam his o-line sucks, but Wilson is still better" but for the most part they were ripping him up. They're blinded by some insecurity about how their QB compares to others, which results in them not watching the game as a whole but just whether the QBs get completions or incompletions. Or in other words, idiots.

to be fair though the farther away you get from the pacific northwest the rarer seahawks fans who had even watched football prior to 2013 become

It's the same here when a certain QB who shall not be named gets named.

Well, that's expected from other teams' site but it's when it's done on this site and other Panthers' site and not put in true context, there lies ur problem.

I see a kid that is doing everything he can to win for his team. I also see a kid whose self esteem and confidence is slowly but surely destroyed by the team he is trying to help.

IMO, Russell didn't play any better than Cam. As a matter of fact, take a way his TD and he and Cam would have been tied stat wise. But, it's clear unlike Cam's, his team will always try and find a way to make him shine by winning.

All the other talk about leadership is nothing more than media regurgitation. Some folks won't know what maturity and leadership was if it jumped up and kicked them in the arse. BTW, isn't Russell the one who is already divorcing his wife after like two years of marriage? We need to stop judging Cam through the filter of a bunch of ego driven brats in and out of the media.

But I will say, I do love the Seahawks. Not a lot of money spent on players but money well spent.

    • That's not what I have read. I thought the rookie contracts were for 4 years with a fifth year as an option. So that mean Young will be here next year regardless unless he is traded which I highly doubt happening. As far as his fifth year, there have been examples of a QBs' 5th year being picked up but then they weren't extended. Derek Carr wasn't extended with the Saints in 2018 after they picked up his fifth year. And then there are those that played their 5th year without long term deals: Carson Wentz and Jared Goff both did. As far as not playing, I do not think Young is in any position to not play. He wouldn't get paid for missed time AND he still might need to prove his worth.  Am I missing something
    • You might have been in this discussion about this very subject not that long ago. We were breaking down the ‘NFL’ guys allocated to different SEC teams. It was real lopsided like you are saying. There very well may have been SEC teams that had one or two defensive players, at most, drafted. Not isolated but pretty common.  Meanig the Alabama offense was often facing 9 or so players that went on to teach or sell insurance or whatever…
