Ron says we could be looking at another OT

Guys, we have to be understanding...

How many of you have not experienced an elbow injury that turned you into a slow ass, dead legged, sloth ass motherfuger in the lower body?

I have. Well shoulder anyway.

But I was much much quicker and less dead-legged and a faster sloth before the injury.

No problem with the play calling in the redzone? Sounds like he wants to blame the players instead. I'm about done with Ron.

Technically ...

first redzone.. meh

Second... KB should have caught it

Third  Cam fumbled

Fourth... Shula Ball.

Saying we aren't executing properly is not a stretch.  Not absolving Shula just saying.

Gettleman way overestimated both Bell and Chandler and he also overestimated his ability to find plug and play stop gap veterans to fill key roles.  At least when we had Gross at LT, we could somewhat compensate for Bell at RT.  We used to roll Cam out quite a bit to his left.  It drove me crazy because it often forced Cam to throw back across his body, but we were doing it to move the pocket and minimize Bell's terribleness.  Now that we're terrible at both OT spots, we're damned if we do damned if we don't.  You can't compensate when you're weak at both tackle spots.  When you're forced into obvious passing situations, you have to either keep guys in for a max protect or you have to spread the defense out and make it tough to cover everyone.  Shula does neither and Cam gets killed.  Well, I'll give Shula credit for one thing - on the big play to KB from out of the endzone, he did call for a max protect and KB went up and made a beast mode catch between the NFL's two best DBs.  That's the type of look you're gonna get when running a max protect and KB is the only guy we have who has a shot in hell of making that kind of play.  Anytime we max protect, he's gonna see double coverage.

Of course they used most of the money we had on Hardy. With that money, we could have signed Veldheer, who is currently playing on an Arizona Cardinals team who is tied for the best record in the NFL. Keeping old man Palmer upright.

Our GM tagged one of the best defensive ends in football to try and either keep him around for a Super Bowl run or try to work out a long term deal. How could he have known the NFL would create a new rule suspending him indefinitely?

I'm pretty sure most of us thought the OL would suck this year...who the hell said they would be fine?

I caught more "Gettleman knows more about o-line than you" comments this summer than I can shake a stick at. My biggest concerns were OTs and Shula and I got ripped on both accounts. I'm not looking for redemption here, I'm just saying some people don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Anyone that wasn't concerned about our OT situation doesn't know much about football, that's for sure.  It's been frustrating to see for sure just how bad they were, but I don't know how anyone can actually be surprised about it.  Has any team ever gone into the season with two former undrafted free agents penciled in to start at both OT spots?  It's a recipe for disaster.

Man I'd love to hear from the guy(s) talking about Bell is going to be fine at some LT....lol wow

I mean Gross was a top 5 LT....you don't just replace that...Wharton was a damn good G as well.

The Giants have actually had some questionable OL play and not a lot of high picks from DGs time there...looks like he's bringing and keeping his *put a fat man there and were good* philosophy to Carolina.
