Part of what makes him good.  If Cam couldn't run, while he would probably be a better passer, I don't see him going no.1 overall.

RGIII, Wilson, Kapernick...go back to vintage Vick whoever. They were all parts of their rush attacks too.

Cam's situation however is legitmately unique

Well just take Cam's YPG away from the team's. Its not an exact measure but you still get the following team averages (minus cam): 

 

2011: 106 YPG

2012: 85 YPG

2013: 90 YPG

So the last 25 games he has started - only 2 times has his traditional rush managed 100 yards. That should blow your mind!?! It does mine. That is comical
