Gurden said "get the ball to your quick Wr"

This has been a huge problem with our offense.  Last year, our receivers weren't great but they were capable of getting separation.  Smith, LaFell, and Ginn could get away from DBs and give Newton room to throw the ball.

This year, they are unable to do so.  Benjamin is a big target but he is an inconsistent route-runner, which is critical when talking creating separation.  It is why you see a guy like Jason Witten manage to get wide open so often, that and he knows the hole in zone defenses so well.  Cotchery and Avant are ridiculously slow.  Because of this, Newton has to make the near-perfect pass because the DBs are going to contest everything.  He has such a small window to work with due to the fact.  Just look at when Cotchery was being covered by Barwin.  Barwin, a linebacker, blanketed Cotchery.

No speed or quickness.  Nearly every pass is contested as a result.  It's brutal.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
