This is setting a dangerous precedent and could cause another strike. If players ACCUSED of a crime are not allowed to play while the case plays out AND they are then suspended after if found guilty, the players union will be bullshit, and teams will be getting fuged over by having to pay a player not to play. Goodell has fuged up big time.

with this approach. What is stopping someone from just making up allegations to the Super BOwl QB before the game? Say a woman says X QB hits her and has physical evidence of abuse.. How will they not take action?

Was AP not on the exempt list with pay?  Also, he plead guilty to a crime.  By that simple fact, the NFL probably can do whatever it wants.
