Panthers Highlight Reel - moRon Rivera's Dumbest Decisions

Panthers played Oakland two years ago (the Game Cam Got Fined by the NFL for getting in Jerome Bogers face). Early in this game, the Panthers were rolling, and had a 14 pt lead in the second quarter. All of a sudden, Ron Ron thinks a 14 pt 2nd qtr lead is big enough, so decides to take the air out the ball and run it up the middle.

Now the Panthers actually won this one. However, they barely won, sweating it out in a ugly win that should have been a blow out. It was just indicative of Rivera's entire philosophy on why he loses close games, and/or barely wins them. He thinks a 14 pt lead, no matter how early is worth taking the air out the ball.

PS: The game where Josh Freeman (not sure if it were mentioned yet) of Tampa Bay, marched up the field with less than 1 min left and no time outs; tied, and eventually beat the Panthers. It was shocking. BTW: That QB's now out the league (or at least not starting). SMH

against the bears in 2012

-kicked a field goal to go up a point, celebrates like medlock just nailed the game winner in the super bowl

-slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, slant, field goal

game over, bears win

Yep. That one is tops for me. I am still mad.

Okay, the clear and obvious answer is in the original post. It can't get any worse than that, possibly the dumbest decision by any coach in Panthers history. Granted, it was less than halfway into his first ever season coaching anything so you have to cut him slack, but that was beyond the pale.

The only person I would cut slack for that is a child/ person brand new to football. Ron was a fuging player he should know when not to call a to
