Win..... and you're IN

Well get used to it. In our awful current state we're still better than the Vikings and Bucs. Even winning ONE of the other three may get us in.

.

So you're saying it's ok for a team to get into the playoffs even though they have less than a snowball's chance in hell of moving to the next round.

We have a week off and then a Vikings team with a weak D and a frail 21 year old rookie QB with no weapons or protection. We also get the Bucs at BOA. Our two arch rivals have tougher schedules. Doesn't make us good but it's the truth.

I wouldn't sleep on the Vikings that Dline and secondary is pretty good. If they offense produce 20 pts or more we are done.

This has been a crazy season.  Why can't to get a little more crazy.   With Tolbert back things could change.

I have said it before and I will say it again.   Until we are mathematically eliminated I will always believe their is hope.

After we are eliminated then I hope we win to bump someone else out of the playoffs.

KEEP POUNDING

We already beat the Lions, should have beat the Seahawks, and own the Cowboys in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers could break his collarbone again. Who knows.

Despite some people here who seem to want the opposite, I'd like to see us make the playoffs. I think a win against Minnesota could really spark this team, and it isn't impossible we could win in New Orleans. Even in 2010 we were able to lose a 16-14 game there. I mean, there are genuine scenarios this division could go to a 6 win team. It's not out of the question.

Will we make the playoffs? Probably not. But I'd like to see us try.

    • I don’t go back and look at the espn but there live it definitely said 1 shot 1 goal when it happened. I guess they had not added them yet. Still allowing goals that early is rough. Blue line is a total disaster still. Even with Slavin back. Miller and Nikishin keep making mistakes after mistakes.
    • I generally disagree with the concept of picking a position because of value early in the draft. For instance, if there's a really good safety, RB or ILB at pick 10, I'm choosing him over a project WR or DE. Better players make the team better. A bunch of ok players will give you an ok team. The number 1 goal of the draft should be to improve the overall talent on the team. Not to fill positions of need.  Deciding beforehand that you're picking a LT in the first or second round because Ickey went down is not the way to improve the team. Now if Dan has similar grades on 2 or 3 players and one happens to be a LT, then yeah go for it. But don't pass on your guy at ILB because you have a gap at LT or need to improve the pass rush with a DE. When those guys don't pan out then you haven't improved your team. But that LB could have been a franchise cornerstone for years to come. See Luke Kuechly and Christian McCaffrey.
