Dude said he was driving behind Cam and was first on the scene. Said their light turned green and out of nowhere this buick came from the left side, nailing the back end of the driver's side of Newton's truck sending his car skidding and flipping. If it turns out the other person run a stop sign, he may feel the full extent of the law considering what just happened.

The car's right side was damaged. Seems like it would be the left if he hit him in the back.

From what I saw from the on scene videos reporting from the intersection Newton was struck by the other vehicle which was approaching at any angle, sort a less skewed y intersection, from Newtons left side. From that angle the damage would be to the right side of the vehicle that struck Cam's truck.

Also the impact would be the right front of the automobile and most likely the left rear tire in Cam's truck as it's raised and has larger tires. Also would make it easier to flip. That also was the reason it probably stayed on the bridge instead of skidding out of control.

Did they really? Do you have a quote because I would like to read it.

Well nvm. Idk if chknwing quoted the wrong article or the website changed it. Nothing what he said was in the article.

charlotte observer is reporting Cam was at fault in the accident

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2014/12/09/5373415/cam-newton-hurt-in-uptown-wreck.html#.VIdqenvzJ8E

The Buick’s unidentified driver, writhing in pain on the sidewalk, told police that he was crossing Church Street when a truck “came flying down” the street and struck him.

Construction workers who wouldn’t identify themselves told an Observer reporter that Newton’s truck had barreled down Church Street, just north of the crash site, at a high speed.

future lawsuit impending

Ok because the observer, or one of their editors, did tweet a BS headline like "Cam Newton has 16 driving citations".

But what the headline didn't say is 15 of those citations were from college. Only one since 2011.

That poo pissed me off.

    • No, you're right. It doesn't mean you can't call out his flaws and poor play. But it also doesn't mean you can't admit when he plays well and shows improvement. Not you personally, just in general I mean.
    • I will say, I do think there's a version of Bryce that could be really successful as a high-volume passer in a spread-based offense built around quick throws and timing-based intermediate throws with deeper throws schemed up around them. I actually think the power run based offense we're running is a poor fit for Bryce as it requires him to play under center far more often. It's a very traditional offensive approach whereas I think a scheme that spreads defenses out and lets Bryce distribute the ball quickly with anticipation and accuracy is the sweet spot for him. The key, of course, is to find a way to run the ball efficiently out of those formations. Our personnel right now (backs and OL) aren't good fits for that style of offense and I'm not sure it's a scheme Dave Canales favors very much either.
    • I root for him, and I hope for the best, as does essentially everyone. But that doesn’t mean you can’t call out flaws and bad plays. And that’s what a lot of people get wrong.  I hope I’m wrong and that he continues to improve a lot, I just doubt it. But I’ve been wrong before
