Anyone have info on Beason?

I know Beason got hurt tonight but I missed it. Have they given any updates on him I may have missed?

Otah was hurt as well, but it didn't seem very serious at all, he was walking around the sidelines shortly after coming out of the game, where as Beason was shown on the sidelines wearing a full leg brace.

Beason bumped his knee on a tackle. They took him out and put it in a brace but he's still on the sideline watching. Nothing else has been said about him so I can only assume it was nothing serious, that it is somehow related to the same injuires he's been dealing with all through TC, and that they just don't want to take any chances with him tonight.

I could be wrong, but that's how I'd call it right now.

I don't know anything about the injury than what's been posted but I liked that little piece they did on him at halftime... He's such a natural leader, you can just tell.

I hope this knee thing is nothing and they're just resting him. Connor and Anderson have looked solid so far, but it's still preseason and we NEED Beason.

How come after reading this I feel that it's not gonna be all right?

I'll get an MRI tomorrow and see what it says. I played two or three plays after (the injury occurred), so it should be fine."

(Does it feel stable?): "Yes. They checked it out. It felt good. Just want to get the tests to be sure."

(How did you hurt it?): "It was on a block. I don't know if someone came in to block me or if someone fell. I'm pretty sure someone fell or got tossed into (the side of the knee)."

(What's the overall prognosis?): "I’m sure it won’t be anything major because I kept playing on it. That’s what’s most encouraging to me."

I won't believe anything until I see something official from the panthers. If it is the 4-6 week variety, then he could miss as little as week 1, to week 3...so my hope is that Beason is OK, and we can get a space hogger who can protect him from those blockers.

Well, the good news is that we have 3 weeks until the season starts, so even if he misses some time, it may only be a game or 2 in the regular season. Also, this 4-6 week poo is coming from Mort, so take it with a full shaker of salt.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
