Cam calls Panther fans classless (Manziel injury)

Fans were cheering the hit, not that he was hurt. He got right back up initially. Gantt already knew that, though.

just like you knew that neither gantt nor cam were "making a blanket statement, or ripping his entire fanbase." but you decided to make a thread making it seem as if one or the other was doing just that?

or did you just not bother to read the article you posted?

Can is absolutely right. I was at the game, 12 rows from the field. When Manziel fell down the crowd cheered real loud and people around gave high fives and one guy yelled welcome to the NFL Johnny! And another guy said yes!, I'm glad. I sat down shaking my head at the filth I was surrounded in.

Was it cheering or laughing at Manziel's lack of ability?

Manziel looks like the next Jimmy Clausen to me. He has a decent arm, but his toothpick legs won't do him any favors. I used to say the same about RG3's spaghetti legs. Small QBs like these guys need thicker legs like Russell Wilson and Drew Brees. Manziel is lopsided. His torso appears to be longer than his legs. That spells trouble for a small guy.

The injury literally happend 10 yards from me in section 109, I could see Manziels face. When Manziel got hit he actually stood right back up. Walking back to the huddle he stumbled and then fell to the ground. At that moment the stadium roared. It had nothing to do with his play, sadly. The people around me truly disgusted me. There was one guy who was with me though and called out people for being pieces of poo.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
