Week 11 vs Week 17

I was thinking about the changes we have made both offensively and defensively. Though I may be wrong I don't think any of our moves have made us worse.

Remmer starting at RT

Norwell starting at LG

Jonathan Stewart starting at RB

Benwikere starting at CB

Boston at FS

**not starting Philly Brown replacing Avant at WR3

These moves IMO are not coincidences. We are playing better and it is because of these guys.

We should have won with the old group against Atlanta. I think these changes will overcome the home field advantage.

Go Panthers

Our team has changed too, you know. Our O-line has played lights out since the Cleveland game and Freeman has been running possessed when he gets the chance. Our WRs have been more consistent and our run blocking is always there. Neither team is the same. This game is a toss-up imo

There's no other way to describe this game than as a "toss up".

One thing will also be changed.

The result.

We should be less succeptible to the screens this time since we play more of a press coverage than earlier.

I much rather have Steven Jackson playing than Freeman.  Any one who thinks SJ is better than Freeman is related to Steven Jackson.

Defending Julio isn't the key.  Pressuring Ryan with 4 is the key.  The Falcon interior has played well the last few weeks.  Ryan cannot have room to step up.

I feel comfortable with Luke or TD going out when Freeman goes out to WR position.   I don't feel comfortable in 3 deep coverage if we don't get pressure.

Cam is much faster than last time we played.  I see the Falcons having more trouble playing the read.

Our run game is better, their run defense is a better.  Worrilow has been playing much better as he is anticipating rather than waiting.  Makes a huge difference on net gains.  However with a read option run game we will see.

If we control Babineaux ..Cam will have all game to throw. All though he played well last week Osi is not a huge concern (even with Byron Bell), because you have to play disciplined pass rush with Cam.  Plus NYG Osi >>>>>>>> ATL Osi.

Your crappy oline has not met a possessed Charles Johnson either. We are going to easily stop a mud hole in Matt Ryan.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
