The Coaching Carousel has begun

absolutely not.  Gettlemen is gonna reevaluate the entire staff after this season regardless. you cant just overlook the poo storm that was the panthers the whole season because they made the playoffs.  If the entire NFCS wasn't crap, some staff would be looking for jobs already.

But if all the good coaches going to their respective teams and job interviews this week....what will our options be... especially if we keep winning, then kinda makes changing stuff up less likely.

Rex came out and sad he will not be a coordinator. The way NFL contracts work he would basically be working for free as a coordinator.

lmfaooooo I some how doubt they work for free.

He probably just views himself as a head coach, so he doesn't want to take a step back/down.

When the Jets fired him the remainder of his contract is guaranteed. The stipulation is if he takes another job he cannot collect from both so he would choose the Jets money over coordinator money. Essentially he would be in an unpaid position. As a head coach he would negotiate a long term guaranteed deal and not worry about the Jets contract.

Meant as a joke. I would rather have him at oc than shula.

I like Rex as a HC and wouldn't mind him here. Ron is on a very short leash with me even though he isnt going anywhere now that we rallied and made the playoffs.

Don't understand why teams think that OC's of these offenses with QB's like Brady (Mcdaniels) or Manning (Gase) are going to be these great coaches. Pretty clear that these all time great QB's are making them look much better then they are.

This happens a ton. Marvin Lewis went to Cincinnati as a defensive guru. His defenses were never quite the same without Ray Lewis, Tony Siragusa, Rod Woodson, Chris McAllister, and Peter Boulware.

Of course Rex is great. Just ask him

People that are impressed by all of Rex Ryan's big talk think he's a great coach (that list includes Woody Johnson). But the reality is he's more entertaining than effective.

Like his brother, he tends to make an early splash and then fade into mediocrity. But even when he's losing, he'll still talk and act like the biggest bully on the block.

So yeah, Rex will keep your team in the headlines, but he won't keep them in the playoffs.
