I've never believed the NFL was rigged...

It was a shitty call, but was it all that different from the kuechly/gronk play from MNF last year? And I cant feel too sorry for the lions, the league didnt make Jim Caldwell pull a ron rivera circa week 4 2013 move by not going for it on 4th and 1 near midfield and watching his punter only kick the ball 10 yards.

Yea, it was different.  It was a catchable pass.  If Brady had thrown a catchable pass, Kuechly would have been flagged for PI too.

There's that^^^ and I think that's the best defense to the no call.

But...

That was a mid season game that, while it was important in the grand scheme, paled in comparison to the magnitude of this call.

In this case it was a clear penalty.

In this case it ended one teams dream of playing for the title.

In this case there is ZERO defense for pickingup/waving off/not throwing the flag.

In the end, I still don't truly believe that the NFL is rigged.

I do however, believe that the NFL can be stubborn and stupid.

They need full time officials, and this 'all star crew' garbage needs to go away. Those two facts have been obvious for years.

Fans have been screaming about it annually, but the NFL doesn't listen. Instead they keep insisting that what the fans really want is an 18 game season and a team in London

I've never seen a PI flag picked up. ever. or maybe too high to remember..whatever....fug the cowboys.

I have, but it's extremely rare and I've never seen it done quite like this, especially with no one even attempting to explain.

Pete Morelli later said he didn't see it. It was the head linesman (Jerry Burgman) that overruled the call.

Something tells me there are a lot of Google searches for 'Jerry Burgman' going on right now (especially in Detroit).
