WTF! Don't panic...... Clayton reporting that Cam re-injured his ankle!?!?!?

I never saw or heard of any of this happening. Clayton is usually a respectable source, and wouldn't make anything up.

5. How will quarterback injuries affect game strategy? Seattle's Russell Wilson is the only quarterback of the bunch who is truly healthy. Late in the Panthers' win over Arizona, Cam Newton re-injured the left ankle that was surgically repaired during the offseason. Newton said he was fine, but the Panthers might choose to limit how much he runs against the Seahawks. In addition to the ankle, Newton sat out the season opener with a rib injury. Coaches limited his running early in the season, and a back injury suffered in a car accident kept him out of a game late in the season.

Mike florio was trying to play up the injury to his ankle as soon as the Pitt-Bal game ended showing a bogus as clip of cam getting his ankle barely stepped on when he was sacked. Seems to be they are just trying to play it up.

Let them play it up.

And make Cam limp out for the first drive before he puts up 75 yards on the ground.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
