Official Panthers at Seahawks divisional playoff GameDay Thread...

Looks guys. Cam is what he is. He's better than his stats because of the ways he helps the running game and runs himself. He is not, however, a top QB. He's a slightly above average/just outside of the top 10 NFL QB. Somewhere around #12. He may improve slightly but he will almost certainly never be a top 5 QB. However, do you really want to gamble with having a guy in the bottom half of the league for x number of years? He may be flawed but he's our guy and the fans love him. My kids love him. I'd much rather give him a contract and see what he can do with an OL and some receivers than take my chances with whatever draft pick or free agent.

Convenient wait time there. We were already down two scores and he's playing behind the worst LT in the league with a shifty receiving corps.

Oh I know but Even though Cam can make some spectacular throws it doesn't take away from the fact that he makes way way way way too many bad decisions to outweigh the few good throws he makes, you never see the elite QBs make the mistakes cam does on a game to game basis

Guys we might be a team that its in purgatory. You have three kind of teams in sports.. The dominant dynasty teams that are good year in and year out, teams like New England. Then you have teams that are good enough year in and year out but never get over the hump, or "always a bridesmaid never a bride, teams like the Bengals and the Falcons recently before they started sucking. Then you have teams that are purgatory teams, teams that are never quite good enough to be a winning team but not bad enough to get good draft position to help their situations.

We are a purgatory team, a team that is stuck in purgatory and not terrible but not good either, just middling in purgatory.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
