Should we draft a Quarterback this Year ?

Not any of the first 3 rounds but should we pick up a guy to groom as Cams backup or future when Cam is done here ?  DA isnt getting any younger .  Are we content to just sit with Webb as a 3rd back up or can we do better ?

hopefully when Cam is done here is over ten years from now... so I wouldn't waste a pick on a QB.  maybe a late pick if DA decides to leave

Given how strong DG has been so far with late picks, it would be kind of a waste but I guess if they see talent at the position, they may grab a guy late/UDFA.

Depends on who is there in the 4th and later. Nothing wrong with spending a late round flier on a QB if we have met our needs for the most part. Cam and DA are good to have, but after watching what happened to Arizona this year, I definitely think we need a 3rd option.

You realize Cam got injured 2 times this year and had a fairly major surgery to recover from to start off the season. He alos probably had more hits than any other starting qb.   Not all qb s bodies last for 10-12  years or more.  I would say at this rate there is a fair chance Cam may need to hang up the cleats in a few more years whether he wants to or not..

It's always conceivable that really good QB could be the BPA at some point in the draft, but that said, I don't think this upcoming draft is a very good one for quarterbacks.

No way, one of our picks wont be wasted on QB even 6th and 7th round you can find talent in areas of need. We have Matt Blanchard

Really? That's a bit absurd. He's only 25.

 

The best way to keep Cam healthy is to keep building our OL, and we can start by finding a real left tackle.
