Lance Stephenson said he anticipates coming off the bench Wednesday, and he's fine with that.

The win streak will end Wednesday regardless. The Spurs could sit Duncan and Ginobili and the Spurs would still win by 15.  The spurs have 6 players shooting higher than 35% from 3. The Hornets have 3.

Hopefully Lance is permanently coming off the bench...

& Henturd is traded for a shooter.

This is the opportunity, amidst a win streak, to bring Lance off the bench.  If the Hornets keep playing well, Cliff will have further justification to keep bringing him off the bench. 

 

That leaves Kemba to keep initiating the offense without him, having Lance as a primary attacker off the bench. 

 

May be the start of a legitimate 6th man.

Yeah there definitely will be a different dynamic with him on the court. Not saying we would have won for sure without him, but the way we were playing prior was much different. You have to account for him not only in the stat sheet but also on the court chemistry. Just don't want to see him moping around.

 

That being said, I think he should come off the bench, not because we've been playing better without him but because he gels much better with that second unit. He can take over the ball handling duties and be a playmaker.

That three day layoff was the worst thing that could have happened to us. Took us out of our momentum and now we've come back down to Earth.

 

Doesn't help that the Spurs are in a different class, but still...
