How about a winning record first. We got unbelievably lucky this season

Lucky?

Cam ankle surgery.....

Cam misses most of camp.....

All new receiving corp...

Cam fractures ribs in preseason....

Hardy placed on Commissioners list......

Top 3 RBs injured so we're signing guys off PS and street FA's......

Offensive line is in shambles for the first 9 games.....

Defensive secondary is in shambles the first 9 games......

Cam is injured in car wreck.....

Star breaks his foot before playoff game.....

Rivera's house catches fire before Seattle game.....

Our punt returners were UDFA's who could barely catch the ball......

I'd say we had our share of bad luck and did pretty well overcoming that adversity.

I think we should be able to win the south again and make the playoffs. I wouldn't expect the team to go downhill from here considering we have more money to go get better free agents, and a lot of our rookies got some great experience this season. Win the SB? Not a chance.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
